Gentle (yet IMPORTANT) Reminder
Check-in check list:
1. Conducive collar. ALL dogs MUST have a fitted collar on upon arrival. We provide plenty of freedom and outdoor activities for your furkid(s). The least we need from the pet parents side is to make sure your furkid is wearing a fitted collar. For those who wants to get comfortable collar for your furkid,
I've always recommended this:
https://www.petloverscentre.com.my/products/utility-snake-obd-half-check-orange-medium
THIS IS NOT A CHOKE CHAIN, as the collar can be adjusted to set a certain diameter for your furkid's neck. (Choke Chain cannot be adjusted at a fixed diameter). This collar in fact sits very comfortably at ALL TIMES. In our opinion, this collar is way more comfortable than the ones constantly fitted at a fixed diameter, always in close contact with the skin like a tight choker necklace with NO flexibility.
If your furkid's collar is not conducive for PamperPup Dog School, the collar as as shown above will be ordered for your furkid on the Pet Lover Online store by default. Pet Lover Centre will deliver to PamperPup. Delivery fee incurs. Cost for the collar will reflect in the boarding bill.
2. on leash, harness/collar upon arrival.
3. pet parents provide food, sufficient for the entire stay. pack food into space-saving ziplock bags. Space in fridge LIMITED.
4. some extra food jusssssssst in case
5. kindly label your furkid's items with name/references, to help us identify the safe return of the items.
6. bring shampoo and conditioner.
7. COMPULSORY:
Up-to-date with parasitic prevention (for both internal and external parasites.
We stress a lot with the external parasite prevention treatment for ticks and fleas. For when we find ticks/fleas on your furkid, a penalty of RM150 will be charged to the pet parents.
It is a must and a good practice as a general safety measure to equip your furkid with tick prevention treatment prior to visiting a dog park, pet salon, pet cafe, pet hotel, home boarding establishments. Afterall, we're talking about your pet's health.
Purchase the parasitic prevention treatment from the veterinary clinic. brands we trust:
Drontal
Nexgard
Bravecto
We discourage the usage of topical prevention and tick collar as these are no longer effective against the parasites. Tick shampoo are also not efficient.
Kindly consult your vet if you are unsure of which one to choose for your furkid.
8. Photo(s) of tge items brought for boarding (leash, toy, food, bed, shampoo), and post it to the chat group so that we can keep track of the items.
9. MUZZLE (strictly relevant to only those who feels this is a necessary step)
We do not practice this generally. However, if your furkid is known to react with biting, you might want to prepare this for safety measures.
Muzzle for dogs who are bite-reactive is helpful as this gives a lot of freedom to socialise while staying safe during the initial stages. We usually take the muzzle off when time is right.
If you think this can help your furkid's progress in the effort of socialising, feel free to let Mindy Poppins know (with a text on WhatsApp at 01133118945), she can recommend a few places you can buy a comfortable (breathable) muzzle.
Feel free to bring along toys/clothes/bed/blanket/towel. However, we cannot gaurantee the safe return of these items.
10. Last but not least:
We do not accept unkept dogs. Examples: Furkids who are long overdue for grooming, shower and blowdry, with tangled hair, with overly long unkept coat, not de-shedded to say the least. These furkids will be re-directed to the PET SALON nearby for a profession grooming session. We appreciate that pet parents uphold the cleanliness and grooming needs of their respective furkids as a foundation to pet care. To avoid such last-minute chaotic scenarios. keep your furkid clean at all times. Occasional trips to a reputable salon will also ease up a hectic schedule for pet parents. All furkids deserve a wholesome and professional grooming experience.
At PamperPup, elemental shower and blow-dry is carried out as a icing on the cake towards the end of a furcation for your furkids so that pet parents receive a clean and good-smelling furkid. So do book a shower and blowdry session at PamperPup to complement the furcation experience.
So before sending your furkid over, make sure your furkid is at his/her optimum clean-self to be able to enjoy all the play time sessions with his/her classmates.
11. If you know your furkid is a incessant urine sprayer/marker, kindly put on diapers on your furkid before arriving at PamperPup. This also applies to female dogs on heat. Kindly do your due diligence in selecting the right size of diapers for your furkid ahead of boarding. Adult human diapers can do too, just cut a hole on the diapers for your furkids tail to occupy. Diaper will be of great use on day #01 and #02 of boarding. Once your furkids are aware of where to pee and poo. diapers will no longer be of use. Kindly supply diapers for 2 days use.
